The FCT UBEB Inter-School Debate Program fosters critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking among students across all six Area Councils. It serves as a platform for young learners to engage on national issues, enhancing their confidence and civic awareness.

The 2025 edition featured 48 schools, with exceptional performances from GSS Garki and LEA Kubwa, who both advanced to the finals.

UBEB organized a capacity-building workshop to train teachers in 21st-century pedagogical methods, classroom technology use, and inclusive learning strategies. The workshop also emphasized digital literacy for integrating ICT tools into lesson planning and delivery.

Participants expressed enthusiasm for continuous professional growth opportunities provided by the Board.

Through UBEB’s community outreach initiatives, the Board partners with local leaders, NGOs, and parents to promote child enrolment, reduce absenteeism, and maintain conducive learning environments. These programs strengthen the link between schools and their host communities.

Recent projects include the renovation of classrooms, provision of learning materials, and sanitation drives across rural schools.
